Whale Watching in the Mediterranean Sea

The Mediterranean Sea is home to 8 different species of cetaceans, including some large ones such as the Fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus) and the Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus).

In order to provide you with a highly valuable Whale Watching experience, both in terms of encounters and education, Whale Zone has partnered with Tethys Research Institute - a very well known NGO that has long been leading scientific research and conservation in the Mediterranean Sea.

We are happy to offer you the opportunity to join two long-term field projects, one in Italy (North western Mediterranean Sea) and one in Greece (Eastern Ionian Sea).
